He is 3 years old and is named Pham Quang Sang and she is changing his name to Pax Thien. I have a 3 year old and if all of a sudden someone started calling him something else I think he would be very confused.

Pax sounds more like the name of a movie star's kid. Also, it's easier to pronounce.
But, being the warm, caring, sensitive woman she is, I[m sure Jolie is going about the change in a way that will not traumatize her little boy.
I admire Jolie for what she is doing for these children. So many other stars have tons and tons of money but do nothing to help out society.
My only question is, "Does Pitt have what it takes to stay committed to her and the children?"
For all their sakes, I hope so!

Not sure if I would have changed the child's name at 3 years old. Maybe if he was a baby.
Angelina is good with the names though - all those exotic names with X's and Z's in them.

Well, it is her son and she can name him whatever she wants too. She picked a name that was easier to pronounce and have a lovely meaning behind it in his native language "peaceful heaven". He will get use to it when he lives with them and learn English. Lots of people, rename a child when they adopt because it makes the child feels more bonded to the adoptive parents.

He will get used to the name just as he learns to speak English. She liked the name Pax as it meant peace. I don't remember what the middle name meant. The orphanage never found the parents of the boy so he could have been dubbed with his old name by the organization that took him in.

Why does anybody let these celebrities come in and use them for publicity? And why can single parent celebrities adopt a foreign child while a regular single parent can't even adopt an unwanted child here? I know these aren't anwers but anyway.

Because she can, that's why she does anything, breaks up marriage, tattoos her body, wore vials of blood, adopts children from other countries, and not here in America where she makes all her money....BECAUSE SHE CAN. Do you gather she isn't one of my favorite people????
