There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

*Glycolic acid isn't a moisturizer, it's a chemical exfoliator, and should NEVER be used around the eye area. LOGANBRUMM is very wrong. All you really need to do is use a great eye cream or gel, I prefer the eye and lip contour cream from a brand called CAUDALIE, becuase you can use it around your eyes, and lips, it's paraben free (a preservative linked to cancer) and it's gentle enough to use on your eyelids themselves. Also use a primer with a little dimethicone in it under your concealer to prevent caking (try smashbox photo finish) and finally, if your dark circles are really bad, you can mix a dab of an orange based red lipstick into your conclealer as this will counteract the dark circles. If you have any questions, visit a Sephora (that's where i work) and we can actually sit you down for a consultation and try different options out until you find one that suits your concerns! Hope that helps!!

I think you should start using eye cream/gel in order to stop and improve on your dryness together with fine lines under the eye. There are many types of eye product in the market and you must look for one that is most suitable for your overall skin type.

Please bear in mind that not means the most expensive brand will be the best and some product that is very good and effective on someone doesn't mean that it will be good on you too. It is very individually. So, get consultation from expert based on your skin type and if possible, try out some samples before buying as to avoid any wastage.

I use St Ives Cucumber & Elastin Eye & Face Stress Gel. A little under the eyes before I apply concealer does the trick. It goes on cool and makes your eyes feel refreshed. Due to the gel consistancy, concealer glides on beautifully. At night I use Burts Bees eye cream. Good to sleep in but too heavy for daytime, unless you are after a cream that is rich in emolients.

Nivia Cream...not the lotion. That's the best stuff on earth. My mother's used it for years and she is 70 yrs old. Hardly anywhere near the wrinkles I've seen on other 70 yr olds. Use it faithfully twice a day. You'll look marvelous darling... :)

Another favorite of mine is the old fashioned Ponds cold cream to remove your make up. Great moisturiser.

Try glycolic acid. It not only moisturizes skin, it kills bad bacteria and creates a younger appearance
