I can understand why you would be angry with him, it implies a lack of trust or respect on his part not to tell you. It is up to you to forgive him, whether he talks to you or not. On the other hand: you need to talk with him about why he didn't tell you, maybe he was embarassed that the child would be born so soon after getting married? Maybe he didn't want you to feel like he was replacing you and didn't know how to tell you? You obviously want to give him another chance, the best way to do that is to sit down and hear his side of the story. You are still a member of his family and deserve a straight explaination from him. Good luck.

holding a grudge really only hurts the person that carries it. I would let your father know that you were very hurt by him not telling you about it. I would also if you have the right relationship ask him why he didn't tell you before. but to hold the bitterness is only going to truly hurt you more than him. It also will interfere with any relation ship you may have with your step-sister whether you realize it or not.
Sometimes forgiving is a hard thing to do and it may take time and it doesn't mean you have to forget. I hope it all goes well for you. remember grudges hurt only the one that bears them.
hugs.

he was probably trying to find the right way to tell you,
i just have a couple of question though...
1. did the lady live with yall or did she have her own place
2. do you live separately from your dad therefore do not see him everyday
3. if you live with your dad did you not notice the pregnant lady walking around the house?
its always better to forgive...

Try to, yes.
He may be confused, and may not be the best father. But he's the only one you've got.
My Dad was not the best "protector" or role model - I had to do a lot on my own - but we were friends, in a way. I was often mad at him, but I am glad I was able to relate to him sometimes.
Good luck.

Forgiveness is a choice you have to make for yourself. No one can tell you to do it, or when you should. Look into your heart and you'll find the answer of whether you want to or not.

I can understand you're hurt, but he's the only father you get. Tell him how you feel and forgive him.

Of course, you should forgive him!! Everyone goes through things that another person may not like. Imagine how you would feel if your father died tomorrow.
