Well, how about starting with the St George's Cross on the British flag?

Many county's are going to hate us no mater what we do. This country has been helping every country that needs help since the birth of the nation sometimes even our enemies!
Just because a country has a religious symbol on its flag is no reason to limit association with them, our whole country is based on respecting religious beliefs of all kinds. The original colonists came here so they could worship God according to their faith without government prosecution.

It limits freedom because of the fact people decide those they see donning it (for extra effectual or worse). Believing can provide much less regulations. for my area i think of censoring religious symbols is a contravention of freedom as people might prefer to be judged. In France they censored religious symbols in an obvious attempt to chop back conflict... Now right this is an ironic fact: The French are so racist!!

When did we become the police of the world? Let's worry about our own country and what our flag stands for before we worry about others! Besides, when do we ever get involved in genocides? Look at Rowanda and the Sudan.

Consider this - how many nations have a differentiation between church and state, and how many don't? In many countries, religion and politics are the same thing - should we refuse to associate simply because they don't differentiate? I don't think so.

Do you have any idea how many countries are in that catagory? They include UK, all Scandinavian countries, Greece, Switzerland, Australia & New Zealand among many many others.
Somehow, I don't think isolationism is the answer.

Trust me, there are far worse reasons to associate with countries than what they display on their flags.

Of course not. Those are sovereign nations. They can display anything they want on their flags.

I'm not sure I'd use the flag as the dividing line.
Consider the number of flags that have crosses in one form or another.
