Okay, well I'm 12 right now and [obviously] I'm going through puberty. I know my whole body is normal (weight-wise) all except my stomach. I mean it looks FAT. I'm pretty sure it started getting like that 1 1/2 to 2 years age. I'm 4"10 and I weight 89 pounds. I know my weight is normal, but my stomach does not look normal. Is this because my body stores up there for puberty? (I'm a female.)
Please answer. Thanks!

Well I haven't eaten any junk for nearly 3 weeks running now and I exercise every day (including crunches, sit-ups, and push ups)...
The 'baby fat' is still all there, though.
It's soo annoying! Can a lot of exercising really help it go away??

You're normal. Girls going through puberty store fat on their hips, thighs, stomach and breasts.

It could actually just be your body type, that you store fat in your belly, but don't despair and don't be hard on yourself. Your body will go through many changes over the next several years so what you need to do is focus more on the inner you, not the fact that you have a little belly. I know it's bugging you, but it's probably only noticeable to you...The less you talk about it, the less it becomes an issue so let it go. And just know that every woman has some body issue, so focus on your attributes, not your "defects!"

Um honey thats what we call baby fat. Once you start to grow taller you will be fine. PLease dont think too much about your weight and what you look like. You will be fine. You cant read too much in to how you look it will drive you nuts. Trust me I have been there. I am 20 and I am 5'2 and 155 lbs and I somtimes fell I have a funny looking tummy but its me and I love me. Do some sit ups every day if your tuly concerned.

women have an extra layer of fat compared with men!! interesting fact for you!
plz dont worry, its just baby fat. you sound very healthy and you say you exercise regularly, then there is nothing to worry about!!!!
once you grow taller you'll be fine. good luck for the future hunni. xx

is it bad posture thats making you tummy stick out? Concentrate on walking tall in good posture pelvis tipped back abdomen sucked in shoulders straight chin up..And ..its part of being preteen all of this chubby in the middle stuff.Just always be concious of good posture and you will grow some yet and then it will stretch you up a bit.Eat good food..exercise..dont worry.

if it bothers you that much do sittups or crunches and do them till they hurt it should ton your abs && if you do them enough mite give u a 6 pack
