Hello! I was just in the market for a Sony Playstation 1, and I was wondering if Playstation 2 controllers are compatible with the older console. xD. I highly doubt it, but anyone with actual knowledge of this, your input would be greatly helpful.

I think they are but you dont get the anaolgue functionality. There is a button on ps2 controller to turn it on/off and I think that is the issue.

Only question is really, why would anyone buy a ps1 now? Get a ps3.

Even a ps2, on which you can play your ps1 games anyway. It just doesn't make sense.

I hope i was helpful

I'd only get a ps1 if someone was giving it to me. The PS2 has a lot more games available and it can play all the PS1 games. While the PS3 is even more versatile, it's price may put it out of your reach.

No, psthree Controllers make the main of BlueTooth technologies, and under pressure out by USB. There at the instant are not any forms of enter that would enable a PS2 Controller to connect with the psthree.
