In my opinion it's not who we elect, but what kind of power we give to who we elect.
Bush was not really elected and we have given him the power to almost destroy this beautiful country and the AMERICAN DREAM we all looking for.

Hillary will win. Obamamania will fade on the democratic side. On the republican side Guliani is the only contender. He did a fine job in NYC after 911, but that will not be enough to beat Hillary.

I wish it really mattered who wins in 2008 but unfortunately it doesn't. Does anyone really think that if we elect a Republican or a Democrat that anything is going to change for the better. I mean I am a glass half full kind of guy but when it comes to politics at the presidential level it really doesn't matter, perhaps it matters at a more local government level who gets elected. I think until we change how we elect our presidents by somehow making it so average Americans can run in a campaign instead of mostly white rich guys then nothing will get better in America.

I can guarantee that if Obama, Hillary, Romney, McCain, Guiliani, any of the "front runners" (according to the mass opiate.. err media) win the election, nothing will change. The status quo will continue for another 4 to 8 years, and we will go further into debt, taxation will increase, the rift between the "rich" and middle-class will continue to expand, liberty will continue to be restricted for "safety" reasons, and government will continue to expand. Ever read the Communist Manifesto? Pretty much describes the reality of the United States in present day. So what do we need?
How about a person that understands the limitations on power granted by the Constitution? How about someone who knows they serve at the pleasure of the people, that they are responsible to US for their actions? How about someone restore responsibility into the hands of the American people? Look up Ron Paul, I promise you won't be disappointed. http://www.ronpaul2008.com/

I thought it would be a democrat, but since they have taken control of Congress and not changed anything, they are ruining it for their own party.
Their "we don't approve, but we aren't going to do anything about it" non-binding resolution, just showed they truly back Bush and not their constituants. So I would have to say it will be McCain. The democrats are just handing it off.

I think if we did away with the electoral college, we might actually be able to ELECT a president this time.
