I have no idea. I live in Canada where all health care is free. I can't even begin to imagine having to pay for a child birth or for health care for that matter. That just seems crazy to me! Can't you get insurance or something instead that would cover the costs? Sorry I'm not much help, I just feel bad that you have to worry about covering the costs of having a baby. That's terrible!

A birth cost around 8-10thousdand depending on where you are at and if you deliver at a hospital. Also if you have a c-section it will cosy WAY more. A home birth isn't going to cost as much, but they have insurznce for pregnant women that is low cost to free start with calling your local helth dept/job and family services. They can let you know more. Also look for local mid wives, that isn't going to cost as much. They can give you exact cost for biths at a birthing center.

i live in california, i jsut recently had my baby (feb 6th) it cost my husband and i, 15,000. that is of course before our insurance covered it. when its all said and done it will only cost us 1,000. there are places you can go that will cover most if not all of your hospital stuff, you should try searching it on the internet, i dont know your area so i cant say what it would prolly be for you but the birth centers here charged my friend 8,000... which is almost 1/2 of a hospital. good luck

contact your local Planned Parenthood, especially if you are economically disadvantaged. Abortions should not have cost that much, either you were in medical danger or you got seriously ripped off. If you paid by credit card I would contact the medical institution to review their billing and possibly contact your card company to dispute (reverse) the charges.
