It's a soft white cheese that has at least 33% milkfat. It does not age or mature like other cheeses and is meant to be eaten fresh.

Philly makes it real good!

Ok, I gotta give it to you. This is the cutest question I've read all night. This is what I know about cream cheese having eaten probably more of it than I should. It is a white, creamy not too mention very tasty dairy product that goes mm mm mm awesomely with BAGELS and toast and can also be used as a cooking ingredient. People use cream cheese in various desserts that they bake such as cheesecake (which cream cheese is the main ingredient of) not too mention it is used in coffeecakes and sometimes it's used as icing on cakes. If you haven't had it you should get off the computer right now and RUN don't walk and get to closest store that has it available. :) By the way, you need to keep it refrigerated before and after opening. If you want to know what it is made of look at the ingredients when you buy it. Just a quick FYI for you so that your cream cheese will last as long as it possibly can and after you taste it you'll be thanking me for educating you. LOL I hope you laughed a little. Take care

Okay...are you serious? "Philadelphia Cream Cheese".....its by the sour cream in the grocery section. It comes in a square package/silver in color. Its typically used on toast, bagels, crackers, fruit, and many recipes call for it. Its smooth and white. It tastes rich and creamy....pretty yummy if you ask me. Sweetened cream cheese is a great cake frosting. Ummm...why is this in the history category?
