a man confined to a rood adjacent to another one with his dogs who are starving. they are all set loose at the same time. the dogs chase after their owner to eat him and i believe he ran through razorblades attempting to escape. i thing the owner was wealthy and placed in the room by blind people? what movie was it?

It's from "Tales from the Crypt", and I think the segment is called "Blind Alleys".
If I remember it, the old man runs a house for the blind, and is nasty & cruel to the residents, but dotes on his dog, ether a German Shepard or Doberman.
The blind residents trap him & the dog, and starve the dog for a long time while they build a gauntlet with razor blades connecting the old man's room with where the dog is. They then let the old man out & open the door to the dog's room, and the dog eats his master.
