really you need to let a mechanic drive it so they can hear it...it could be the gear box! & check the engine mounts..

also it could be the suspension..push down on the suspension making it bounce & see if it makes the noise then..
It's sounds like you can hear it more on a flat surface so that means it's quiet so you can hear it more..it could be just a bit of grit tiny stones caught in your brakes..or wheel bearing? Get some wd40 & spray that were you think it's coming from..if it stops you know it's that..

It could be something simple like the fan belt..it might be loose..check that all the belts are tight.

bad ball joints??

Get a friend in the car with you & both try & pin point were it is coming from..interia,underneath the car..the front end..the rear..

or if you live in the country you might have a little familyu of mice which have climbed up into the engine bay were it's nice & warm 'lol' Good Luck mate!

Like the first answer says you have to elimate certain factors, pinpoint where the noise is coming from, what makes it worse etc. For a few days keep an eye on when it makes the squeak and for how long etc, and then i would advise you to take it to your nearest vauxhall dealership. Explain to them the problem, when it makes the noise and where from etc, and get them to take it out for a drive so that they can hear the noise for themselves, this often makes the problem easier to diagnose. (they will be willing to do this and you can go with them if you wish to point out the prob.) Hopefully this shoud not be a huge prob as you suggest the noise isn't constant. I wouldn't trust Kwik Fit they're a pile of pants!!

I understand what you mean about lovin the car, they are great i ha one for 7years nearly and loved it to bits, they're fab on fuel consumption! Good luck i hope its nothin too serious!!!

Very difficult to diagnose without hearing it. Like a previous responder has said, I'd ask a mechanic to come with you when you try to reproduce it, otherwise you may be going round in maddening circles for ages. Hopefully it's something very simple like a loose exhaust mounting.
Good luck.

Diesels have very effective filters that could really clog up. i don't be conscious of the position your clear out is both, yet in case you stick with the gasoline pipe into the injector rail or unit again, you'll come to the clear out. replace and see if that fixes your difficulty. sounds like it.

is this squeak more prominent with the window open?as driver or passenger?does it appear to originate from the front or rear of the vehicle? does it vanish under wet drivings conditions?have you tried spraying suspension rubber bushes with duck oil? (no it lubricates rubber not rots it) does it sound like metal to metal contact?ie harsh? or is it higher pitched?you must eliminate to pinpoint fault
