A game called Airline by a company called Efzed. It sounded great when I stumbled across it whilst surfing so I paid to download it.
Bizarrely, in this day and age, the download isn't automated. They actually pay a human being to process all the orders. After a few days I got an email saying I had ordered 2 downloads and asked me to verify. Of course not, it's obviously error, I just want one download I replied. Another two days go by. I decide to send an email asking why they are taking so long. I got a rather curt email from the owner of the software company saying his staff had no business asking customers to verify their orders. Presumably he would have happily billed me for two downloads. He made me place the order again.
Another couple of days go by.... hurray, my order is accepted and I can go ahead and download the game. Enter the password and there is the game ... in 30+ separate files!!!! After that fun click-fest and installing the game I was ready to play. Then it asked me for a CD key. I was fuming by this time. I checked, double-checked and triple-checked all the emails I had received. No CD key. Sent off yet another email asking for a CD key. Started browsing the member area of the website as I expected a couple of days wait for a reply. Right at the bottom of a very, very long page was my user name and a CD key! Amazing. Why didn't I think of looking there in the first place. Entered the CD key. "This key is invalid" or something. Jeeeeeezus! After half an hour of entering and re-entering I realised what I thought was a small 's' was a capital 'S'. Yahoo! It worked.
Played the game for about one hour. It has one of the worst user interfaces I have ever seen (and I've been gaming for over 20 years) and is full of bugs. Frankly, it's a disgrace that people sell software in this state. So, yeah, I was pretty ticked off. I still have it on my hard drive but it's not likely I'll be playing again.
