The best way I have found to get the stickies off of glass, plastic or any other non-porous surface is with regular vegetable cooking oil. Put a little bit on the sticky part, let it sit for awhile, and then lightly rub the area w/your finger. The oil will break up the glue and then you can wash the lens off w/dish soap. You may need to go through the process a few times depending on how bad the stickiness is.

Spray Windex on a paper towel and put it on the sticky area. Let set for a couple of minutes and wipe off.

some sort of oil, WD 40 works great if it doesnt take color off, but baby oil, etc does wonders
