no certain genre, just anything i can sing along to really loud and really bad, with my windows down, to either relieve stress or so i can entertain the people in the cars next to me.
best song to listen to is Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. cliche but great none the less.

each each now and then i imagine music without lyrics can be a lot less distracting - particularly once you attempt to spotlight writing. i love listening to Miles Davis, and also the Beastie Boys instrumental album 'The in sound from way out'.
