This is the brush part that men use to use long ago, and I would assume some still do, it is the bristle part that they put the lather of some sort of soap on the put on face and shave. I hope this helps understand the question.

They still sell these in really fine shops and the prices vary depending on the type of bristle. The two I've seen the most are wolverine and boar. They also make synthetic ones.

i still use the brush and mine is made of horse hair.

I THINK HORSE HAIR, LIKE THE KIND THEY USE FOR VIOLIN STRINGS.
