hey, i have had 3 ovarian cyst throughout my pregnancy! everytime they would check up on the old one, that one was gone but there was a new one!! how stressful. The 2nd one they said was pretty large and were hoping that it would resolve by itself... It is jsut a normal cyst or one full of blood.. i cant think of what its called off the top of my head.. all 3 of mine were full of blood so they kept a eye on it a lot. But luckily for me all 3 went away by themselves within 4 weeks for each of them! i have another sono next week.. just crossing my fingers i dont have another one considering im due in less than 3 weeks ! :-)

Talk to your doctor more about it!! but dont stress to much about it.. A lot of girls get them when they ovulate and they dont even know! Good luck hun!

Did you have the ovarian cyst before you became pregnant? When you become pregnant the ovary where the egg was released forms a corpus luteum cyst. It remains there until about 13 weeks when the placenta starts to function. It is a normal finding. We do countless ultrasounds for lower quadrant pain during the first months of pregnancy and find these cysts. They are normal and they resolve on their own. So if one is seen when you have a early OB ultrasound it is a normal finding and it is a good thing to see. It can cause some lower quadrant pain because they can get quite large and be uncomfortable.

It all depends on how strong you uterine wall is.

It may be a good idea to talk with you doctor. A friend had many large ovarian cysts removed and went on to have 7 kids. However, full term for her was 35 weeks. I know a few of her kids didn't make it even to 35 weeks.

I don't know about larger ovarian cysts. But I've heard that it is quite normal to have them during pregnancy. Have you talked to you doctor about it yet?
