Most women are don't ovulate during their period, so conceiving a child is less likely. It is possible, though, because sometimes ovulation does occur on around that time. To be safe, one should assume they can get pregnant and use some method of birth control.

OH YES YOU CAN! the only time to have sex during your period is right smack dab in the middle of it, and even then use a condom.

My husband and i had sex on the 3rd day of my period and i got pregnant but miscarried at 5 weeks.
