well when i was about 11 or so (maybe even younger) , my dad took my out on back roads and let me drive, even though i could reach the pedals, or knew how to really control them, and he would control the pedals, and i would steer, and he always told me to make sure i feel like i'm in the middle of my lane. and i still do that to this day, but i dont think about it as much. So it just depends on when you can, but that will be something i always remember because not only did we bond and father -daughter, but also it was fun. because i couldn't legally drive yet.
Its all up to you. otherwise you can just wait till hes 15 and takes drivers ed. if you have it.

The day they get their temps. It will be helpful for you to know that they have the knowledge of the road (even though they will not start there (uber dangerous stunt)), and they are at the legal age to start learning to drive.
But I just know learning to drive... )August will be a glorious month (license))

It depends on the state, but teach them when it's legal (when they have their learner's permit), in my state it's 15. If you can afford it, try to get them into drivers ed...the whole process is much smoother that way.
