Why is it that black people get offended when a white person calls them the N word...

But then the black people think that it is okay to go around and call the white people the C word?

I don't get it. I am sorry if this sounded offensive, but I need to know.

Oh and one more thing. DOn't the balck people know that they weren't the only people put into slavery? So were the chinese, the indians, and I think the spanish too. But I don't see them complaining. I think we black us it as an accuse to get respect from others, but yet on tv and in public we act like total fools. Well at least that's what I think. Sorry if it sounded ignorant and offensive.

This question has been asked before...But not all blacks use the n word (I definitely don't) and it frustrates me that there are blacks who do because it's like telling other races it's okay to use that word, and it isn't. Not all blacks go around calling whites the "c" word and I know I definitely don't use that term either. Some blacks who might use the c word might feel like it's justice in some way since people have been racists towards them, I honestly have no clue that's just a guess. Anyone who uses racial slurs is just ignorant and rude.

Well, honestly, I don't know what the C word is.

I guess it's because (no offense), that some black people, DO feel that since they've had to delt with slavery in their ancestory, and that Hip-Hop, Rap, and R&B is becoming very popular with whites, they think they can say whatever the want to say to them, because they feel the whites are respecting them more. That's how I look at it.

I'm East Indian, and when I was in 7th grade, this black girl (This was in 1997), said, "You're so white".

Now if I said to her, "You're so black", I would have probably been expelled from my school.

maybe because their culture has planted in their mind that whenever white person calls them those it means something bad or you know, degrading someones' dignity. And because white person addresses them that way, humans' instinct tells them to fight back..and maybe that is through calling the white person the C word.

it doesn't sound offensive,really..people have the freedom to speak their mind you know

My wife, who is black, says that I am only cracker-ish when I have been working in the yard and come into the house crispy (sun burned) and salty (sweaty).

I guess it is okay for her to call me that then. But, you know, love makes some things okay.
