I think not. When Wade was leading the Heat he had alot more team troubles going on then Shaq have right now. Wade had 2 different coaches, the Heat had team injuries including Wade, some of the Heat players got suspended this year, Wade had to lead longer then Shaq did, & the Heat is a veteran team that gets prepared for the end of seasons. Last year the Heat has a bad beginning WITH Shaq, but they made their push at the end of the season. For the past 2 years that's been the Heat pattern. It's not that Shaq could lead a team better then Wade.

I think its a fair comparision, as long as you include all the various factors.

I think what you said is true, that Wade had more exteraneous garbage to deal with than Shaq has (especially the lack of a point guard), but its also true that Shaq's team has done better.

Not sure how have J-williams back in with Wade would have influenced the Heat's record with him but not Shaq. Since Wade kept the Heat playing .500 ball w/o the 1st string PG and they're a little better than that w/ Shaq and J-will but not Wade, I think its a wash.

I think its fair to say that both are capable of carrying the Heat (read +.500) and that both are nessecary for the Heat to win another title.

Wade is a more skilled player, but you are right. Shaq is a better leader. He scares the other team, and he is dominant. However, you still need to combine that with Wade's skill to create a championship team. I think its like how dallas can prbably win games without Nowitzki, but they wont win without Dampier. Dampier balances their team, being their only big man. I'm not comparin Dampier with Shaq, but I'm just saying you don't have to be the best to make the biggest difference.

Wade never had to lead the team into the playoffs did he? The Heat have actually won 7 straight since D-Wade has been injured. If he was still playing they might have been out of the playoff picture for all we know.

I think that it is fair to compare the leadership styles since it is the same team.
