People say "Freedom isn't free" when they want to remind others that the liberty we have as Americans was "bought" at a high price, that is soldiers fighting for it.

In the American revolution we fought against British tyranny over us so that we could live in freedom and establish our own laws. Wars "cost" a lot in terms of lives and sacrifices so that's why freedom isn't "free."

We should clarify, though. LIBERTY is a much better word than FREEDOM when used in the American sense. The word freedom is a moral term - it means you are free to do what is right, NOT that you are free to do whatever you please.

Your freedom and liberties have a very expensive price tag attached to them. Many women and men have die defending the life as you know it. So the next time when you think about it, consider this. When you are able to go and do the things you like to do with your family and are able to voice your thoughts and opinion about society and government, think about those who gave their lives defending your freedom to say and do those things.

In other countries like China, people are jailed or executed for the things we take for granted here in the United States. They can not voice their thoughts about the government, go places where they would like to go or exercise their beliefs in a higher power.

Look at the first 10 amendments to the U.S. Constitution and you will find many of the rights, freedoms and liberties listed . Our forefathers who wrote the Constitution valued each and every one of those things. They are valued to this day and many died defending them. Their lives are the price of freedom and it didn't come cheap.

That phrase refers to the military sacrificing themselves for your freedom. It is an ode to freedom being paid for by the blood of our soldiers

Freedom does not mean you can do as you please that is lawlessness.

Freedom is had only as you respect the consideration of all those around you.

The world does not revolve around one person
