Everyone favourites something over something else, whether it be candy bars, people or cars. We all have something we will like more then other things.

Or maybe this student has special needs, and needs the help more then other students? List why you think this teacher favours other students, and list what the teacher said or did, and we can speculate on that

It is human nature to be liked and appreciated. Generally, if it appears that a teacher favors a student, it is because that student makes the teacher feel important and useful; that student asks questions, is polite, attempts to complete the assignment, etc. In essence, he tries hard to do what is expected.

You may not like it, but what do you do to make the teacher feel appreciated for what he/she is does for you everyday? The best thing that you can do for any teacher is succeed in the assignment, on the test, as a person. And you can only do that by being there, paying attention, asking questions, doing the assignments, etc.

Now, go and become a teacher's favored student.

I think it's human nature to favor students and people in general. When someone feels a common bond or if there's something that the person, in this case the teacher, is looking for, then they bond with the other person. I see this happening at my workplace. Sure it isn't fair for teachers to do this, but as long as each student puts forth his/her best effort, is a responsible student, and minds their behavior, then the child is a good citizen in the school. This should be reinforced in any child who may feel slighted.

I think the reak reason is that that child has always asked the teacher for him or herself to help the teacher with something. Or that child really gets good grades. Remember lots of different teachers like lots of different things in children.

The kid is a favorite for a reason.

Most kids do NOT try to be a "favorite" so saying its not fair to the other kids makes no sense.
