I'm a freshman in highschool and this junior asked me to Prom i like him as a friend, but he likes me more than a friend. I am not shy but lets say im not really good around upper classmen. I have never kissed or done anything. My school is a little smaller than public schools and pretty much the whole school knows. I don't want to be labeled as anything so im not really sure what to do! So should I ? HELP!!

Hey Kaitlyn, how ya doing. I think that you should talk this over with your parent or guardian. Myself, I believe that a high school freshman is too young to be dating a junior. If you decide to go ahead with it, then make sure that he knows that you are not interested in him other than as a friend. Have him pick you up at home and meet your parents and make sure you honor any curfews your guardians set. I think you would be better off going to the dance with a group of friends rather than as a date. Have Fun!

U should definitely go!!!! Have a good time. Who cares about what other people think. It will give you a chance to get out and do something fun. Plus, would you stay home wishing that you would have gone? Just have fun with your friends. You never know how much time you have left. None of us do. So live your life as if it were your last day.

everybody knowing about this situation should not be your major concern. If you don't really want to go, don't go. This is your big day - your big event. The other thing is if you decide to go please, please, please, make sure that you sit down with this guy and let him know (look him in the face with no smile on your face and really make him know that you are serious) that you are just feeling friendship for him. And if he still wants to go, then go.
You do know that you could just decide to go alone....or with a group of friends if that would be better. It is about you have a good time after all...he might be interested in going in the group.
This is hard but it's one of the real life things that we all have to deal with. The only thing that you can do is be sure that you don't lie or mislead someone especially when there are 'feelings' concerned.

A prom is not a marriage proposal...it's just a fun party that you get really dressed up for.

If it's OK with your parents.....get a pretty gown and all the other stuff & go have fun.

Go to prom with him just don't try anything with him if he allows. Find out who he really is and give him a try later once you get to know him.

I'd say yes.Unless he seems like an *** or something.I wouldn't pay much mind to all the high school worries, like thinking people will think you're a slut or something.
