You may still grow to regular model height - but Kate Moss is your height, possibly an inch taller (reports vary). Most people can gain half an inch by sleeping on a hard surface - like spread a blanket on the floor? Its actually good for your back too, it helps stretch out the vertibrae.

NEVER pay for portfolio pictures. This is the quickest scam. Go to reputable modelling agencies, and if they genuinely think you have potential then they will put you up for TFP session(time for prints) where models, makeup artists and photographers all work for free to try and make a good impression on the agency. You may have to pay a tiny amount for the print cost but you should never pay to have a portfolio done. Clients are interested in seeing work that you have done for other clients, not a load of random pictures dreamt up by a mediochre photographer (you will meet good ones on jobs).

If the agencies don't think you have what it takes then I would recommend you have a backup plan. Its a very tough industry and you won't go far without the support of an agency. There are, however, lots of option in modelling. Sports and swimwear models don't have to be so tall - so your athleticism could help!

Good luck, and try to take any criticism in the right spirit - they don't want you to waste your time or theirs. Its brutal but honesty is good.

I'm not sure exactly how you get into the business, but what I do know is you have to be EXTREMELY careful of scams. Theres a lot of bad people out there looking to profit off inexperienced girls with high hopes. If your looking to get into the modeling industry take your time, and do your research first. In the mean time you could go and pay a professional photographer to do some shots for you. Then you can use them to start building your modeling portfolio. If you don't have the money for that it never hurts to practice, check out some of your favorite photos from magazines, catalogs, etc.. and try to imitate them the best you can. Then have a friend take the shots for you. As far as the height goes, hopefully you'll grow a bit more but until then you can always get shoes that add a few inches to your height. Good luck to you!

How do fashions get the body-structure they have?: you're born along with your body structure. once you're tall and skinny, you're tall and skinny. once you're pear-formed, apple-formed, hourglass-formed, it extremely is the shape you'll continuously have. Have a great workout recurring recurring, and devour proper. do no longer strengthen an eating ailment, do no longer smoke. What food do they devour?: food pyramid, infant! :D Balanced diets make healthful, suitable babes. Haha. How a lot to fashions get in step with teach?: relies upon on how enormous the teach is, what clothier, etcetera. Is being a form strong?: The marketplace is fairly hard; there is fairly some rigidity. they are continuously putting forward, "Oh, drop some pounds. benefit weight. end plucking your eyebrows a lot." you be conscious of, such issues as that. And fashions aren't any different from conventional people. you be conscious of, they are no longer definitely as fairly as they offer the effect of being in magazines. pictures are edited intently once they are taken, virtually continuously, so as that the form looks acceptable. - ought to you want to be form skinny?: i replaced into born that way. it really is no longer that tremendous. people ask if i'm anorexic. - Does smoking make you develop into form skinny? no longer each form smokes, and under no circumstances imagine that it really is a sturdy element to do. Smoking will turn your teeth and your nails yellow, you'll age swifter, and also you may die swifter. do not start up in case you've not yet. you'll have a foul, un-modelish stench to you, it sticks on your dermis, a twin of the tar sticks on your lungs. do not die to be suitable, i'm particular you already are. to really answer the question, smoking does 'fill you up', so that you should communicate; you do not experience hungry afterwards, and so that you do not devour as a lot. even if it really is surely no longer a healthful habit by any means.

I really hope you grow at least 2-3 more inches if you want to be a model. 5'6 can do catalog modeling but as for being a runway model you have to be taller. Do you know if you've stopped growing?
