want to hook up a wireless router and a usb to pc

no. just get a cable to go from the modem to the router, and one from the router to your compute.r

Possibly, read the directions for the router. Mine uses Ethernet for the connection from the router to the wired computer, while the laptop is wireless. USB is not needed for this.

No. You can only use one or the other. My suggestion to you would be to connect the wireless router to the modem and connect the pc to the router.

No. I have the same modem you have to use one or the other not both. If you want to hook up more than one PC pick up a simple router.

I did that many times with my cable modem when my ethernet wasn't working properly!
I am assuming that everything should be the same for both these devices

But why do you want to do that since it doesn't make a difference in speed!
