Yes.

Sims 2 is the base game. Sims 2: Pets is an expansion pack. You cannot run an expansion pack without the base game.

Sims 2 pets is a stand alone game on psp, which means you don't need sims 2 to play it.

noo the sims 2 pets for psp doesnt require the sims 2, it does, however on the computer version, NOT the psp versions
