I was at my church group last week and my pastor started preaching about how we should'nt ever judge people by their looks, how we should judge them by whats in the inside...but then he later stated that red finger nail polish, makes females tend to look a bit promiscuous and its not proper.....I laughed so hard at him, what a freakin hypocrite!!!! HA.

I certainly don't think the color red is promiscuous. To me it is just a strong and vibrant color that is exciting. However; a lot of older men seem to share the belief that your pastor has. My Dad felt the same way!. He would not allow my Mom to wear the color red. I don't really know where the belief comes from unless it's because in the earlier eras a house of ill repute always had a red door and red lights to advertise there sales for women. Hence, the red light districts are always places where brothels are located.

crimson is an incredible classic shade and seems fairly stable no count number if it fairly is right. Being this variety of dazzling shade, any scratch to the end fairly stands out. And pondering i exploit my nails as strategies each and all the time, i do no longer many times polish them any shade. I many times save a organic nail trimming with no longer something on them, no longer even sparkling polish. yet on social gathering i will choose for shade. and that i've got been standard to choose on crimson colours each and every sometimes.

You're right! He is a hypocrite!! Next he'll be saying that wearing dungarees makes you a lesbian!!?

Personally I think the best place for red nail polish is on your toes!! You can get away with the hottest brightest colours on your toes and it looks great. My problem with red nail polish on fingers is that when it gets chips it looks cheap.

Thanks for a fun question! :o)

No, red nail polish does not mean you are promiscuous or even hint that you could be. He may have meant to refer to too much make-up which can detract from natural beauty.

No, it does not make you look promiscuous! And it depends on what skin tone you have and what shade of red you have on, like you wouldn't wear bright red if you had a darker skin tone. And tell your pastor that i said he should go back to bible camp and maybe visit a doctor for his selective hearing.

God bless him, he's human. Did you point it out to him? At one time, red nail polish would have made a 'nice girl' blush. It's just not as trashy as it once was.
