I strongly urge you to see a vet. JCP's are prone to health problems, and if you wait too long, she might not recover. You also may have to force feed her. This involves taking a food item (I'd use a thawed pinkie in her case), carefully opening her mouth- insert the edge of your nail between her lips, and apply very gentle pressure at the corners of her jaws as you do. As soon as her lips are open, stick the nose of the pinkie into her mouth and gently push and wiggle it. Sometimes they'll take over and swallow on their own, sometimes you have to gently maneuver the entire pinkie into their throat before they'll swallow.

Chicken broth is used by dipping the entire rodent into it before feeding. I've never had any luck with it.

You could also try quail eggs or small green anoles.

Have you tried privacy ? Carpet Pythons (Morelia spilota ssp.) and most other snakes do not like being watched or distractions (movement) while hunting or eating. Turn off the light but leave the heat source and cover the cage so the snake will feel privacy for a day or so and then offer food.

This website gives you all the information you could imagine... http://www.applegatereptiles.com/articles/feedingbabysnakes.htm Also, I have a local Reptile Store that's been breeding their own snakes for over 20 years. Thousandssss of snakes a year. And they suggested the pinky pump to me when my baby corn wasn't eating. Thankfully after the first force feeding it started eating on it's own. Hope this helps. Good luck. :o)

I had this problem with a wild caught ball python. Try a frozen thawed item, you can thaw it with a heat lamp on top of the enclosure, then put the jcp and prey item into a paper bag overnight. Worked like a charm for me. Good luck!

how are you feeding it? i have a JCP (juvenile) and mine will only eat if i leave it in its cage with all the branches and she will hang from a branch catch the prey, constrict and eat all while hanging from her branch (sweet to watch!!) also has it shed at all during that 6 week period? you have tried most of the suggestions i would have said already, please remember that force feeding can injure your snake and is extremely stressful for them also, i would recommend contacting your local herpetological society or a breeder with a good reputation to see if they have any suggestions for you if not they might be willing to show you how to force feed if its necessary.
best of luck to you and your JCP
happy herping

The snake may be sick.
Time for the vet.

Take out the water for two days and try again. If it still refuses, take it to the vet.
