Generation X is awesome!Thats the band Billy Idol was in before he went solo. They still have a fresh quasi Punk sound with a little rockabilly thrown in.They had the "vibe" that Blink 182 tried to capture...

A nice way to do this is to use browser-based or launchable online 'radio' programs that let you enter music that you like by artist, title, and type, which then can sort through either user votes or categorical similiarities to introduce you to artists and music types you may have not considered before.
Yahoo! currently has an interesting system for this, but I tend to prefer Last.fm, personally. See my source link for more info.

Chevelle, AFI , Blue October ( for the slightly depressed and troubled ) The Kooks, and if you have satellite radio, I would listen to Faction ch. 21 or 22 for the coolest rock stuff. Enjoy!

Summerbirds In The Cellar. They have a good Myspace page. Some good songs on there. They are very indie.
