sex cells are haploid and all other body cells are diploid.

Diploid species of animals have diploid cells throughout. The only cells they make that are haploid are the reproductive cells - the gametes which are eggs and sperms. All other cells are diploid: skin, muscle, bone, nerve, even the cells of ovaries and testes.
