I am homophobic. I run like Bill Bojangles Robinson, backwards so my butt is turned away from that person, and I'm AUDI.

Very interesting question.
At one time, I would have said I would be angry, and very hostile toward you because I used to be very homophobic.
Guys that are straight and homophobic think of themselves as very manly.
You being attracted to them, makes them feel less than that.
The only way I can rationalize it, in their minds men are attracted to feminizism. You know, girls that are pretty and flirty and sexy.
So, if another man is attracted to them they feel less than manly, they feel like there is something feminine about them that the guy is attracted to. That is the homophobia. There is a certain way that many, many gay men act, wich is feminine, and they are afraid to death that someone may think of them in those terms.
Not knowing how to handle the situation can make them angry.
It doesn't register to them that their manliness is part of the attraction of the gay man.
So, it's a huge blow to their manly ego.
Fortunately, over the years and being around gay men I have matured and I think I understand more.
So, if a gay man was noticably attracted to me, I guess it really wouldn't bother me. I would be freindly and if he came on to me I would make it clear I am straight and not interested in any kind of intimate relationship.
Some guys will just head the other direction as fast as possible not knowing what to do.

I'm straight. If you are a stranger, and I notice that you are attracted to me, I'm going to do anything I can to avoid you. I don't do it to be evil, I just don't want to be throwing the wrong signals out, or then it'd just be awkward and confusing until the obvious became clear. But to be honest, I treat most strangers the same way to some degree.

Well its kind of odd to know that some other guys likes you in that way. I had gay friends....and as long as they dont hit on me....I'm ok. Some people feel weird about it...or even disgusted. Like I said...I would feel weird and not know what to say. I'd bet I'm not the only one who thinks this way!

Well the first thing I would do is go over to him and tell him sorry guy but I am straight and ain't changing sides, sorry but can be your friend if you don't over do it. And i would be his friend as long as he didn't cross the line, Which one you might say. Well don't make a pass at me

I wouldn't be interested, but I wouldn't want to lose a friend. I would ask that we try to remain friends.
