I live in the Phoenix - Metro area and I've encountered several celebrities in restaurants, stores and at the airport. I literally had a head-on collision with Rip Torn on the sidewalk just outside terminal four at Sky Harbor and Paul Rodrigez sat down next to me at a bar one Sunday night. Aside from those two exceptions, I've never interacted with any of the celebs. If I do catch their eye, I just smile and wave. I'm sure these people get tired of being badgered and it's known that this area is a "safe haven" for them. It's not likely I'll ever encounter my favorites, though. Gary Cooper, Errol Flynn, Humphrey Bogart and James Stewart have all passed on.

If I saw Catherine Zeta Jones waiting in line or in a movie theater, I would walk right up to her and say" Let me guess. You are here for a movie promotion and you are a look alike of Catherine Zeta Jones . Very convincing. Could I have your autograph. Put your real name down if you must.

I feel that this would be a ice breaker as she would probably die laughing. Then when she tells me, I would say" Oh I am so sorry. We don't get stars around in these parts."

Then I would let the conversation go from there.

When I was 12 years old I met Dick Clark at a place called Carowinds (North Carolina). He was hosting rock-n-roll show featuring some groups of the 50's and 60's. My sister, cousin, a friend, and I were standing at the fence when he started to walk off the stage. He came by patted our hands and said "Hi girls, how are you?" " I hope your are enjoying the show." He spoke to us first. we said "Hi" back to him and told him we are enjoying the show.

I also saw Michael E. Knight (Tad Martin from All My Children) ina Mall in Winston-Salem. I was a very shy person at the time and thought of hundreds of things I wanetd to say to him. The only thing I did was smile. He smiled back at me and gave me a thumbs up. That meant more to me than anything.

if i was at a resturant and they walked in, i would have to look twice to be honest, and then say whats up or something and ask for a picture or/and autograph. It would pretty much be the same for all except maybe at the beach, i would start up conversation and try to hang out with them of ask if they would like to go for a swim, which i doubt they would do, but i will ask...

I mean, whats the use of getting geeky
there just like us

My favourite--well one of them, is Johnny Depp. Oh would I ever love to talk to
him. I'd love to know about Vanessa and the kids and how enjoys stardom. I
would have so many questions.
We were in our favourite Tim Hortons, here in Canada, when Elvis Stoijko
{Spelling??} came in and he spent about 20 minutes with us. He lives right in
town here and have seen him many times. He is a great guy and very gracious.
Humble too. We were in Montana's when I saw Mike Holmes. He smiled at me
and waved. What a nice man.

Although he's not my favorite (I do like his music), Bobby Brown is a real cool, down to earth person. When I approached him, the bodyguards didn't run up on me at all. I shook his hand, told him his music was great, he said "Thank you. I appreciate that" and I moved on.

This happened at some shoe store in the Village (NY)

Out of respect to them I would not say a word unless they nodded or said hi to me first. They have enough 'groupies' and droolers following their every move. Let them have some personal time and peace! RE: Your last question: There is no reson they would want to stop and talk to me!

If Criss Angel was at the beach, I would run up to him and say hi, introduce myself, and hopefully be able to share a beach blanket with him.
