Call the police. Stay out of it. Hitting someone with a pool stick is a more serious crime than stealing a car and you could possibly go to jail for longer than a car thief.

My sister's car was stolen from a very busy, college apartment complex. Eventually, it was found, what was left of it. In a chop shop. It had been, 'shopped' for, and was chopped down within a couple of hours. Firstly, don't leave anything in your car of value. Secondly, only keep the gas in it you need, because if you have a locked cap, a theft can only get so far in it. And the "Club' works great. Make sure your anti-theft is working, loudly, and remember, just because it wasn't stolen when it 'rang' before didn't mean they didn't want to lure you outside to size you up (some will set off an alarm, to see if or how long it takes for response), if they don't get one, or it seems the person isn't able to protect their property, or it takes too long to get out there, the next time, they could drive it away. Her alarm went off the night before, and when it took her five minutes to get out there from her apartment, they choose it to put on their list. They watched from another complex and actually timed her.
