can i just say that i HATE the phrase "acting black" or "pretending to be black"? why does everyone seem to beleive that there is actually a difference between how whites and blacks naturally act? ok, maybe, MAYBE, in the hip hop culture blacks can act differently than whites but only because of stereotyping and how people feel they are SUPPOSED to act. when people say other people are more or less white or black based on the way they act, it is modern racism, no matter how u look at it. applying certain traits to one race is WRONG and it annoys the heck out of me.

It sucks and I hate it. I'm sick of being labeled as "acting white" when I'm just being myself. Race seriously has zero control over your personality. It's the environment you grow up in, simple as that.

Its no longer purely Black Africa the two, that's North Africa and the midsection East too, the basis reason = Colonization. The rammifacations of it are nevertheless felt right this moment and it fairly is my beleif they're the basis reason for the numerous ills Africa and the midsection East face right this moment. no longer the commonplace however the basis reason techniques you, one and all of those ills have some colonialistic origins which set them into action. that's the history it somewhat is to reason i could say. take Africa, using disparites brought about by employing Colonization, that's an umbrella term for a number of of undesirable issues that happend to africa in the process the era, and interior the USA slavery, discrimination, social inequality and all that jaz. those are the biggest factors that have set Blacks back, even inspite of the indisputable fact that those days are no longer any extra nigh they have a profound consequence on right this moment's blacks. Slowly inspite of the indisputable fact that black human beings are catching up and overcoming those historic pitfalls. Examples. Colonization raped Africa of its factors, introduced in foregin techniques of nationhood in a continent that grow to be primarly nevertheless tribalistic, Created manmade borders devoid of regard to ethnicity, Geography and all that jazz, introduced in weapons and different cutting-edge warmaking strategies which escalated in any different case conventional Tribal Skirmishes into Genocides, civil wars and all that. too plenty to describe. As for Blacks in usa, they only began to get to be taken care of humanely interior the 70's and 60's. Its been various many years for the reason that then and that they've already made a number of of progression given the time that hass handed. quickly usa could have a black president....those issues take time inspite of the indisputable fact that.

I don't believe that some blacks act a certain way in the hip hop industry just because they are "supposed" to; it is their choice. And I really don't see it as racism; blacks and whites associate some actions with traits known to be part of the black or white culture. Since ebonics, for example, originated with the black culture, some people say that speaking ebonics is "acting black." I think that nowadays when people say things like this it's not done with bad intentions, but rather because it's something familiar. We all judge one another whether we intend to or not; we categorize because it is human nature. It's not always a bad thing. For example, I doubt someone would be offended if you called them a "brown-haired person." What we need to do is stop letting words control and have such negative effects on us. We have a choice whether or not to be offended when someone says something we don't like.

when i say white kids are "acting black"....i mean when suburbian middle-upper working class 15-23 year old boys who are sippin on 40's and smoking blunts.....i'm also talking about the possiably educated young adults who idolize a character made up by an artist.....All Rap is 90% streotypical repediative bullshit....If it were a chinese guy who made up a better streotype.....then white kids would be "acting chinese".....it's basicly a phrase which means that a person is acting in a streotypical way......can a chinese guy "act black"?...How bout a Russian kid acting Australian?.....It no way chooses to suggest that it demeans a particlar stereotype.....unless it would be unfavorable to a popular consenus...."acting retarded" or "acting like a dog"....for example whould also be a couple more bad streotypes....Get It?.....Holla back!

i agree...its really annoying...i think stereotypes have alot to do with it.Some people judge you by stereotypes instead of just getting to know you.I think you act a certain way by where your from, what you grew up around, how u were raised, and stuff like that.
