It was so weird me and my cousin started on the same day and she was older and im older than 12 and my period was normal right from the start.

i was 12 too,well i had a 10 yr old sister and i begged her not to tell our mom.so she went in and got me a pad then i went outside in time to hear and see her shouting danielle got her period.i just stod there.i couldnt believe she did that.its funny now cause i am 33 but back then it wasnt.

I started late, I was 14. You are right on time with getting your period, it's very normal. But, don't be surprised if it comes and goes at the begining, that is also normal. There is no such thing as "normal" when it comes to a woman's body. Everyone is different. This is really something you should discuss with your mother.

12 to. I live in Vermont and i was on a class trip to Boston. Well i went to go jump to touch a sign in a parking garage and i felt a sharp pain go through my abdomen. Later when i went to the bathroom my underware was soaked. Luckily my mom was there!!! Or else id have to tell my guy teacher! Because i didnt know how to get a pad or anything like that!
