I bought the Bare Minerals Foundation today. Not the kit, just the foundation. When I put it on, it just looks like I put my Maybelline translucent loose powder on. I thought this stuff was supposed to make my skin look great or something. Do I need to moisturize first, or what have I done wrong??! I hope I didn't waste $25!

The thing about bare minerals is that if you just put on a little.. your skin wont look that different.. the coverage is not the same as a liquid makeup - if you want to be able to see "makeup" then put more on.. just keep swirl tap and buffin away.. you just kind of have to use it a few times to get your desired look. You will still want to use a concealer for any pimples or blemishes.. I use well rested (bare minerals) But this is the best makeup I have ever used, by far.. and I've tried everything from Chanel to Mac to Bobby Brown - you name it, ive tried it.. Good luck with it, just give it another shot.

you're not doing it right, anyone that thinks it looks dry or cakey, needs to do 2 things, use an exfoliator, and apply it correctly. There isn't any talc in it so you shouldn't look cakey or dry at all. And yes you can get a full coverage just like a thick liquid. You're probably using the wrong brush, did you purchase a Bare E. Brush? No, probably not...that's another reason why it looks like $h!t

Please consider purchasing the DVD/VCR from eBay to learn how to apply it. It works fabulously if you do it right. IT isn't a big deal, but you should learn to use the products correctly for the best results. I have modelled since I was 15 and have run the gamut of make ups, even selling Mary Kay!, and Bare Escentuals is the BEST I have EVER found!!

I hate bare minerals. I reall do.. I bought the kit, and it totally fuked up my skin and made it look cakey and dry. Return it tomorrow. For real.

you only suppost to use a little bit of the foundation, are you using the bare minerals brush? i use bare minerals and it changes the way my skin looks but it may be because i use the foundation, warmth, glee and mineral vail...
