We have some represenatives on their NGOs (non government orgs) when we occupied the tribal offices at Pine Ridge (my home) we flew the UN Flag. We are a seperate nation(s) , by treaty with the US, yet we are still treated like 3rd class citizens

they are a self-governing region within the US, but still under american jurisdiction. native americans living on a reservation cannot violate american law, such as the constitution. They are not allowed to make their own treaties or have their own military, etc. the law just kind of calls them the seminole nation or whatever, but they aren't a nation like peru or china.

No. They are a part of the US, with semi-autonomy. All American Indians, who are in the US are automatically US citizens. Of course you have to be registered on the rolls as one of these Indians, but, none the less...

Why would they want to part of something that passes resolutions then doesn't back them. Native Americans have always stood by what they believe in.

Because while they are "Sovereign Nations" they exist through contractual relationships with the US that allow them to. Otherwise they would all have been gone by now.
