I'll be in London for 4 nights on my way home to Chicago from India in mid-April. Looking to spend around 125 GBP per night.

Not too worried about being central to tourist attractions...I'll be using the tube to get around. Having some good pubs in walking distance would be nice. ;-)

Give me a good suggestion and maybe I'll buy you a pint or two once I get there!

Cheers!

http://www.tripadvisor.com is an excellent resource as it lets real people give real reviews of different hotels. It also has candid 'photos' of rooms, beds, etc.

With that said, the best hotel on the list (out of 500+) is the ParkCity Hotel and it is right around your price range. I've stayed there and strongly recommend it. It's near the Gloucester Road tube stop and is a nice boutique place that is very clean and quiet.

If you want a chain or something bigger, I'd recommend http://www.lastminute.com and search in the 4 and 5 star range to see what is available for your price.

Hi Adam,
I'm from Hotel-Assist - a London hotels reservations company.
For that sort of budget we can get you in a really nice 4 star hotel, I can recommend 2 in different central London areas..
1st The Rembrandt Hotel in Knightsbridge (SW7) - a recently renovated 4 star.. opposite the V&A museum.
The other one is the Danubius Regent's Park in St John's Wood (NW8).. just down the road from where i live. Hence I can definitely recommend a few pubs in the area!
Links are attached.
Hope you have a nice trip to London and don't hesitate to get in touch if you need help with anything.
