As a parent of a once rebellious teenager, I think parents should answer for ALL of the actions of their children up to the age of 18.

Note that I did not use the word "responsible" in this case. Responsible suggests that the parent would be held accountable for all costs (not necessarily dollars) as a result of the child. To "answer" for the actions of their child, I mean for them to explain how and why their child did what they did. Was it because of lack of parenting skills, lack of supervision, lack of attention, or (heaven forbid) lack of love or caring.

If the courts would impose monetary costs on the parent for damages on a more regular basis, I think the word would eventually get out that they can't afford to allow their child all of the freedom and lack of restraint that is so prevalent today.

While it might be booed and hissed by today's teens, I think that the term "tough love" needs to be applied much more often by today's parents.

After a particular form of unexcused absences, the college information on the verify. The verify has to flow to courtroom. The courtroom ought to situation a fee ticket, or no longer something if there's a valid reason. There are fewer absences in view that this procedure occurred.

I personally think parents should be held liable for any crime committed by their children, including but not limited to cybercrime.

Most the time the kids are so secretive -- and today they are ESPECIALLY abusive and cocky -- that it's doubtful their parents even know they're screwing around !
