To make your fastball faster you need to build your arm up some more along with your legs, ever notice fastball pitchers like clemens and schilling and ryan all have muscular legs.

For a curveball the most common wayto throw it is to gip it with your middle and index finger on the same seams and the flick your wrist. The way I throw it is different however, and after years of practice I can get a big break on the ball 80% of the time.Cup your hands and grip the top of the ball inbetween the seams where they are farthest apart. It fits like a puzzle. The as you throw completly spin your wrist around and watch it curve. As for speeding up your 4 seam fastball DO NOT grip it tight. That will just cause more friction and slow it down.Grip it how you normally do use your body and let it roll off your fingers. It will get another 5mph on it.ope this helps

Ok, section one is how to throw curve.
1. Grip the ball like a two seamer and slide your index finger against your middle finger.
2. Do your motion just like a fastball until
3. Once you have your flex-T position, throw it. Instead of being behind it like with a fastball, get your fingers on top of it. You want a 12-6 spin on it, but not many people can get it like that (I'm the only person on my HS team who can do it; even my private pitching coach can't do it).
Now, for the Fastball:
1. Throw every day. Throw throw throw throw throw.
2. Lift weights for arms: 3 pounds, sets of fifty. Things like curls and preacher curls
3. Elastic tubing...goes without saying.
4. Do squat jumps with ten pound dumbells in each hand, then do lunges with the same weight.
Good luck.

I am trying to do the same with my FB and what my pitching coach taught me is to really push off you rubber-foot and tuck your glove down on your finish. Don't do anything uncomfortable though because it might pull something. On the curveball, just make sure you are really spinning it and throw it the same way you throw your fastball just let the grip do the work.

curve ball go with a knucle curve alot easier on the arm and alot easier to master and locate. faster fastball make sure your hips arent opening to soon that causes you to lose power from your legs causing it to be 4 to 5 miles an hour slower. also play longtoss alot will give u better whip(arm movement forward look at mlb picthers) to add speed and strength will also reduce the risk for injury

working out will get your arm strong up but it wont help much with speed. Long toss is your best bet. when you long toss throw straight and hard no rainbow throws. Its the best, natural way to get to arm speed up.
