It's not objectively true or false. It's a philosophical argument.

You are being asked to defend the argument that utlitarian ethics does not support the concept of human rights or democratic ideals.

Basically, the only reasonable approach would be proof by process of elimination. Go through the foundation and rules of utilitarian ethical theory and show why it does not inherently support those concepts.

The other side of the debate has it much easier.

Many countries are not democratic and some cultures do not respect what we call basic human rights.
It differs from culture to culture and time to time.
Good luck. I got a D in college logic some 25 yrs ago.
