bigsey93… It isn't our troops mission, it's Bush's directives and his orders. His orders and his "plan" if he had one, is failing. And, he keeps sending in more troops to die for the same failed plan. Again, when are republicans going to start standing up for the troops instead of the failed policies of bush that is killing our troops.

buttercu…Please tell everyone on the boards just what freedoms the soldiers in Iraq are fighting for us? Especially when Bush and the republican congress/senate got rid of Habeas Corpus and passed the Patriot act that limits our freedoms. You need to seriously educate yourself on the subject Buttercup.

Never. There is too much money involved and ******* over our troops by selling them the belief that they are doing something noble by fighting for Christ and Country. Whip young people up into a patriotic frenzy by selling them a line of absolute ****...works. If it aint broke don't fix it- we're laughing all the way to the bank, so **** it... lets just run with it- and as long as we are getting away with this- **** em all.
Sadly its true. Sorry about the language. I am just tired of all the bullshit. I really am.
You know I just read all of the posts and I had to edit.
The entire American people and the troops were sold a big fat frickin lie about weapons of mass distruction. It is more like weapons od mass distraction. Our soldiers and troops are dying for nothing but greed, money, resources and a bunch of other fricking crap that they did not sign up for in the first GD place!
My heart goes out to those poor soldiers who think they signed up to protect the country and NOW that we all know its a GD lie.
Have any of you actually spoken to a soldier who has come back? Everyone of them are disillusioned and hurt and feel completely betrayed. And this if from the ones who HAVE BEEN THERE!
This is not about the Dems and Repubs. If all of you can get through all the frickin brainwashing and learn to think for yourselves- then maybe you would have something to say that actually means something.
Bush is a drunk warmonger who only has one thing in mind. MONEY!!!!!!
And when you actually do your research and figure it out, I will forgive you, because its not your fault. The lies and the Bull(%! is so compelling you are not to blame.
Read the Declaration Of Independance and the Bill Of Rights that have been systmatically destroyed and re-written because of the bogus bull%&^^ of terrorists that have only served to reduce the freedoms that this country was founded on.
Saddam Hussein (who WE put into power) was cruel and awful to be sure, but he was no threat...Ever! He was hiding in a hole in the ground with $750,000.00 in Amercian cash. Yeah... he was a big threat. Right.
WAKE THE FRICK UP!
And if that doesn't wake your as%$es up nothing will and you deserve your fate.
My heart is broken, but I have not lost faith. We can do this people- if we just look at the truth.

in case you upload all the taxes paid by oil companies to close by, state and federal governments then for each $10 income the oil companies make they pay a blended tax load of $27 to goverment in any respect ranges. Now the Democrats are offering even larger taxes on the oil companies. Sheeesh! If all and sundry is grasping it sort of feels to be the Democrats, no longer the oil companies.

Never!!! You wont ever get a chicken hawk to serve in the military, and to stand behind Bush's polices seams to enable this. Telling lies and spamming the web is the easier softer way for them. They have the spines of an octopus.

First of all, there are no lies. It has been repeated until if
you say something enough times, it becomes like the truth.
Second, our troops believe in their Commander-In-Chief and
many have signed up second and third times for their tour
of duty in Iraq. Why are you anti-American? Don't you want
our freedoms preserved? Our policies are making progress
if you'll watch programs that show it (Geraldo, Fox News)
instead of the mainline news shows that just report violence
and body count. More people are murdered in the US every
day than deaths in Iraq. Think of it, and for no good reason.
We should bring home the troops when the Generals and
those in charge who are over there say it's the right time (and that is not cut-and-run now).

Bringing the troops home will temporarily solve ONE problem (troop deaths), but will cause another one; namely the military presence that keeps the violent insurgents at least partially under control. Realistically, we should unleash the full power of the military in a massive wave, kill as many of the terrorists as possible (anyone who plants roadside bombs is a terrorist), and then leave.

Illtrix, do you attend parades for returning troops?
What exactly do you do to help, other than complain about Bush, Fox and Rush Limbaugh?
I stand behind the troops. They'll come home, soon enough, and I guarantee ahead of any schedule the Dems legislate.

Some have already done that. The people in Congress who support his policies will also suffer in next year's election.
Democratic landslide like none seen since Lyndon Johnson defeated Barry Goldwater in 1964 and brought Congress with him.

When this so-called 'troop surge' fails by summer's end.
They don't want to admit they've failed, so they're doing everything they can to roadblock meaningful legislation which will help end this lost war, and bring our troops home in one piece.
But I suspect they need another 1000 troops to die first before they start to see the light. Until then, they'll just play 'obstructionist' in the Senate.

I say bring them home because the Iraquis need to take care of it themselves or else they never will.
Although I believe a complete pullout would be wrong. In stages.
I believe a ramp up and pull back is the best way.

They are standing behind them, way behind, however their moral support is enormous. They are rooting them on to their deaths. The longer republicans refuse to agree with the democrats and bring the troops home, that's all they are doing, sending them to their deaths.
