Well, you are posting in the computer security section, but still I will respond to your question. Sure, money is great, but I agree with you that it will only get you so much. There is an old saying that "money can't buy happiness" and that is very true. There are many people who have a lot of money, but who are miserable with their lives. Just as money can't buy happiness it also can't buy real love or friendship. In fact, when you have loads of money, how can you ever be sure it is you or your money the people love or like so much?

There are many celebreties who buy into their own hype. Oprah Winfry is a good example: she has really allowed her money to go to her head. She actually spends a ton of money tring to buy friendship and happiness and yet has learned she can do neither. All of those people who flock around her and ah and oh over her are just after what she gives them with her money and postition. It is really sad to see her buy into this and honestly believe all of these people actually like her. If she were to lose her money today, nearly all of those people would drop her like a hot potato. She gives these lavish parties she says are for her "closest friends" and then it is filled with hundreds of people. How many people really have hundreds of close friends? Nobody, does that is who. A small "intimate" party for her is a minute fifty people, yet even fifty real friends is a joke. She is constantly giving out these expensive gifts and of course the people who receives them will be super nice to her face, but talk about her behind her back the moment they are in the car to leave.

It is really sad when people put so much emphathes on money and materialistic items, rather than on the most important items in life, your family and friends.
