When youtake a pain killer of any kind it works systematically-through your whole bloodstream. It is absorbed into your bloodstream through the villi in your stomach and travels all over your body, not just targeting your head and the blood vessels in your head but all over.

Headache is often caused by making tissues tense. Asprin in your system will relax those tissues.

Blood vessels constricting is the pounding in your head. Aspirin targets the blood vessels and sort of relaxes them. They quit pounding and viola! no more headache.

aspirin travels through your whole body through your bloodstream. you just dont notice it everywhere else...only the part that hurts if the pain goes away.
