Unless you know what you are doing manure is really strong and can burn the roots of your plants.
Especially when they are trapped in pots it will be hard to leach out the exes ammonia and salts.
Free is worth what you pay for it. Unless you want to start a compost pile and just use that NEXT YEAR as the potting soil, then you would be able to do it for free.

There are many organic fertilizers on the market. You can go to a garden center or go on line to find them.
I like a liquid feed called NEPTUNE'S HARVEST it is made out of fish emulsions and oils. It is a foliar feed so it also will knock down some insects because of the fish OIL in it. Oils of any kind a natural pesticide because they smother bugs. So Fish oil feeds the plant and reduces the bugs at the same time.

as well to being inorganic, this stuff upload salts to the soil that could strengthen after years of use. once you've room for a compost bin, make your own compost and use that to feed your tomatoes. If area is restricted, you are able to purchase compost in bags. I upload about a 4-inch layer of compost to the backyard soil each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days formerly planting. No different fertilizer is critical.

I was just at Lowe's tonight and bought Organic potting soil by Miracle Grow. It was a pretty decent sized bag for $5-6.

They also had organic veggie and flower seeds that were around $2.50 per package.
