The Chiefs worst first round pick was Todd Blackledge. They could have drafted Dan Marino but they took a guy who put up these stats instead:
48.1% completion
29 TD, 39 INT
Marino almost had as many passing yards in 1984 as Blackledge had in his entire career (7 years).

I grew up in California and my team was the Chargers, so I still have some feelings for them. Now I live in St.Louis and a Ram fan. I can't decide which of my teams made the worst pick but these two have got to be #1 & #2 of all time.
Ryan Leaf - Chargers
Lawrence Phillups - Rams

There are too many all out busts to pick one. I'm a Giants fan. If I had to pick one, I would say, knowing he was a decent player one year, and because I'm not a big football historian, so I don't know anything pre-1995 or so, Ron Dayne.
Not that Dayne was absolutely dreadful, and I know other players were less useful, but I was so upset when the Giants didn't take Shaun Alexander with this pick and look at how that turned out. Just to clarify, that isn't hindsight, I said before the draft that Dayne's style won't translate to the NFL and that Alexander would be a star.
Also, it was (and is) so irritating watching him play. Note to Ron Dayne: YOU'RE HUGE!!! STOP PLAYING HAD A 185 LB SCATBACK AND TRYING TO TAKE EVERYTHING TO THE OUTSIDE!!!
Sorry about that.

1975- Darryl Carlton - who? exactly
1979- Joe Geisler
1984- Jackie Shipp
1987- John Bosa
1988- Eric Kumerow
1989- Sammie "fumble on the 1 yard line" Smith
1995- Billy Milner
1997- Yatil Green (tore up one knee on the first day of practice in 1997 and then the other on the first day in 1998)
1998- John Avery (Jimmy Johnson traded down the day before the draft, and Moss was available in our slot had he not traded down)
2001- Jamar Fletcher (San Diego wanted to trade up for Brees and we turned them down. Brees was still there when they selected at 33. Fletcher would have been there in the 3rd round probably)

I don't know about ever cause i am still young but right now i would say robert gallery-raiders. He is not performing well at all and is turning out to be a real bust. An offensive line position seems the easiest to become successful at in the nfl if you were good in college. There is less pressure than skill position players. Pressure or not, gallery is worthless!

I am a Packers fan and in 30 years they have never made a pick worse than Tony Manderich o-line Michigan ST.
Why>>>>>>>>We could have had Barry Sanders,Derrick Thomas, or Deion Sanders! Good call on that one.

Well...Dan Morgan...Carolina Panthers.
He has GREAT skill at the LB position, but INJURIES EVERY SEASON...concussions to be specific. I'm sick of this guy missing games every year, and all of last year, while taking up so much of our cap room. It's a perpetual problem for our team and I don't see his injury bug stopping any time soon because once you have one concussion, it's easier to get another one, and this guy has had five....he WILL get another one.

I would have to say the Texans last year. They could have chosen Reggie Bush over whatever defensive end it was that was not better than Reggie Bush or Matt Leinart.
