I was talking to my daughter on the phone when I overheard her bf say "if theres not a lot of girls there it'll keep the fights down". WHAT?! I was hoping the party was fulll of friends! I guess some of my daughters friends are rivals over boys. Now what should I do if an argument starts, then intensifies, no one listens to me...remember were taking them to my house 2 hours ONE way from their homes. I never thought this might be a problem! The girls are already invited & I'm to pick them up tomorrow!

Have the rules of the party told before you get the girls into the "shuttle" vehicles! You might even want them to sign a "contract" to get a long while at your house. In the contract have the parents sign & their daughter that the parent may be called if their child STARTS a fight. This might cut that out b4 it even gets started. Explain to them that you want this to be a good memory for ALL, not just for THEM. That if any physical contact is made in anger you will call the POLICE & have them arrested for assault! Their parents can pick them up in JUVI! All this should "scare them all straight" & let them know your a NO nonsense parent! GL

i'm a teenager and believe me starting a fight at a party would be lame. don't worry about it let things run its corse. if a fight happend just simply step in the middle of them pull one of the girls aside and say that if they dont stop they'll have to leave

Attempt to calm them down, if it escalates, threaten to call the police, if it continues, actually call the police.

You have to strike a delicate balance between maintaing order and maintaining your relationship with your daughter.
