Let's imagine the major networks and CNN decided to follow his visit to you as a human interest story, and the eyes of the world were, more or less, on you during dinner. What would you talk about? Politics, or his hobbies?

I'd serve fillet of crow with a topping of creamed hubris, and a dollop of soured dream whip.
I'd talk about the people in my town who work so hard and make so little and pay so much in taxes that they have to sell their houses. Not want to...have to. I would be kind, I know he has a drinking problem so no wine or beer, he'd have to be happy with diet Pepsi, if its on sale that week, he can't drink the water even though we have two filters, its still smells funny.
I don't know what his hobbies are, I read and I know he doesn't like to, so that limits things, but if his wife comes we can talk books.

I'd be happy to have him for dinner. I'd have baked
pork chops with dressing, green beans, corn on the
cob, sliced tomatoes, jello salad, apple pie and ice
cream and choice of coffee or tea (iced or hot). I
would tell him how sorry I am that our country is so
divided (especially over this war), and how I feel sorry
for any president who might have had to deal with the
disaster at the World Trade Center. Surely the public
didn't want him to shrug his shoulders and say there's
not one thing this country can do about this. But, he
took action, and it has turned against him. I might ask
him about his hobbies (probably cutting wood on his
Texas ranch & golfing with his father. He's now had all
the travel a person needs to have). God Bless Him.

I don't know what I would serve. It would be good though. I'm quite a good cook. Probably prime rib, something easy. If the cameras were on us I would talk about hobbies and such. If there were no cameras or press I would want the political straight scoop.

Steak, black eyed peas, mashed potatoes with gravy, cornbread, greens w/ pepper sauce, sweet tea, sliced tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers. And Ice cream for dessert.

I'd ask about Texas, and talk about learning life lessons. If he cared to ask, I'd tell him about rural North Georgia, and life as a farmer. I'd tell him about meeting Mr Cheney when he was just a Cabinet man, and would actually like to hear about his travels in the world.

Anyone can be juvenile and mean, but, it takes a truely graceful person to sit with a world leader, and be a good, decent soul with them. One never knows when or how they touch the lives of others.

Crawford Ranch Beef.

I'd express my views on some of his failures and successes, and make CNN sign a release stating that my comments will not be used out of context.

smoked pork loin, grilled asparagus, mashed potatoes and apple pie. He seems like an intelligent man. I'd discuss a whole range of topics with him and I would never be a rude host. My Father in Heaven is the Lord of Hosts.

Pot pies and Milwaukee's best. I'd talk about baseball, and beer. It's hospitable to discuss things he understands, so naturally we'd be avoiding topics such as politics (both domestic and especially foreign), economics, literature, current events, business, and civic responsibility; those would just fly over his head.
