It all depends.
If the brown eyed person holds a recessive gene for blue eyes it could be brown eyes or blue eyes. Example..
BB or Bb is brown.
bb is blue.
If the brown eyed person is BB the baby is guaranteed to have brown eyes.
If the brown eyed person is Bb, then there is a fifty fifty change that they'll be blue eyes.

heredity is like the lottery. I will explain...blue eyes r bb (lowercase is important) and brown eyes r Bb ( the uppercase is dominant and the lower case is recessive) so if one is Bb and the other is bb (blue eyed) then
there is about a 50-50 chance of getting blue eyed or brown eyed
If the brown eyed person is BB and the other is bb there is NO chance for a blue eyed baby but those kids will carry the gene for a blue eyed kid so their kids might have blue eyes..complicated I know

My mother has the brown & my father dark blue. That made mine hazely-green.

i know blue is recessive and brown is dominant but i have blue eyes and both my parents have brown eyes and my 8th grade science teacher said that wasnt possible so i dunno.
