from experience i learned that freshman year is the year to try everything so in your case v-ball, soccer, dance, track etc.
by your sophomore year you'll either continue to compete in all the sports b/c you excelled in all of them or start eliminating a few that you didnt really like or werent so good at.
junior and senior years however, is the time where you should start thinking about whether or not you want to continue sports into college and if so that helps decide which ones you play during these years. this should also be about the time where you are at you best for athletic ability which also helps in deciding what to compete in.
i learned this because my freshman year i played volleyball, basketball, track and swimming, but for my sophomore year i realized it was best if i stuck with swimming and track (as well as adding wrestling) since i just didnt love v-ball or b-ball as much as the others. now into my junior year i dont like track as much as swimming or wrestling and though i still compete in all 3 i focus more on swimming and wrestling since thats what i'm hoping to pursue in college.
hope this helps...

No offense, but if you are going into high school, and have never played a sport before, it is very unlikely that you will make the team. Unless you have a natural talent for that sport. One good sport to try, without previously playing, is archery. Another is track and field, because it doesn't really matter how long you've played that sport. Sorry if I offended you, but good luck and try out for whatever you want!

Well, for girls id say the best are field hockey, volleyball, and track. The girls in my grade seem to have the most fun doing them
